Try racing the BMW M1 Procar (1981) in VR on our Motion Simulator Racing.
The BMW M1 Procar was a high-performance race car based on the production M1, featuring a more powerful engine and was developed for the BMW M1 Procar Championship between 1979 & 1980. It had a 24-valve engine mounted in the middle of the car, allowing it to reach a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph). The car could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds. Weighing 1,020 kg (2,250 lbs), it was relatively lightweight for a race car. The M1 Procar was equipped with a five-speed ZF gearbox, adjustable suspension with anti-roll bars, and redesigned brakes with an adjustable brake pressure balance for better control. It also featured a racing steering rack for enhanced handling on the track.
Austrian Niki Lauda won the inaugural championship before it was dissolved so that BMW could move over to Formula 1 for 1981.
